📊 ECONOMIC CALENDAR TODAY | June 1, 2026 – A volatile trading session with a series of important data releases from Japan, China, the Eurozone, and the US.
Early Morning: Final Japanese capital expenditure and manufacturing PMI (6:50-7:30). In particular, Fed Chairman Powell's speech at 7:30 could significantly impact interest rate expectations.
China: RatingDog manufacturing PMI (8:45), retail sales (1:30 PM), and Q/Q GDP (2:00 PM) – a trio of key indicators reflecting the health of the world's second-largest economy.
Europe: Final manufacturing PMIs from Spain, Italy, France, Germany, and the EU (2:15-3:00 PM), along with EU unemployment figures at 4:00 PM.
US: Final manufacturing PMI (8:45 PM), ISM manufacturing and ISM producer prices (9:00 PM) – these two indicators will guide the USD and the stock market. Construction spending will also be released at the same time.
Key points: Powell's speech and US ISM data are the focus. If ISM is below 50, the market may worry about a recession. If it is above 50, expectations of the Fed keeping interest rates high will increase.
